EPICLY LATER’D DOCUMENTARY

Epicly Later’d began in 2004 as a photo blog and evolved into VICE’s longest-running series, leaving an undeniable mark on skateboarding and beyond. This documentary from Ben McQueen serves as a heartfelt tribute to Patrick O’Dell and the impact he has had on skateboarding, filmmaking, and culture over the last two decades.

A look inside the new THAMES MMXX. shop at 53 Brewer Street, “a world to live in and delight in!”. I was there earlier this week, and I can confirm it is, indeed, delightful. Hypebeast also paid Blondey a visit for the latest episode of their Shop Talk series. Check it out here.

VICCY BENCHES

“Victoria Benches – aka ‘Viccy Benches’ – was a central fixture in London street skateboarding in the late ‘90s and ‘00s. Set in a small park in Victoria, next door to Scotland Yard, the spot’s high ledges were notoriously difficult to skate.

Since the Victoria spot’s demise in 2019, Palace have been storing and regularly waxing two Viccy Benches in a top secret facility. Now, in Manor Place, they are available to skate once again, for free, for all who can get up there.”

MANOR PLACE

Palace and Nike are joining forces to open Manor Place: a free, public hub for sport, creativity and community in South London.

The opening of Manor Place coincides with Palace and Nike’s first product line, the P90 collection, which is inspired by early 2000s football culture and designed for both skaters and football fans.
