Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears From the Pool of Black Genius is now on view until January 11th 2027 at the SCAD Museum of Art.

“Denim Tears founder and creative visionary Tremaine Emory highlights his sources of inspiration from the “Pool of Black Genius” featuring works by Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, Alma Thomas, Faith Ringgold and others from the SCAD Museum of Art’s Permanent Collection, as well as an extensive display of contemporary works by his collaborators and other artists he is in dialogue with, including Arthur Jafa, Hank Willis Thomas, David Hammons, and more, shown alongside his designs and works from his personal archive.”
